Modul-System takes legal action against Sortimo

On September 14, 2012 Modul-System has filed an application of summons against Sortimo International Ausrüstungssysteme für Servicefahrzeuge GmbH, Germany, (“Sortimo”) before the District Court of Munich claiming that the string-activated locking mechanisms as, for example, used in Sortimo’s drawer system “Globelyst M”, infringes one of Modul-System’s utility model registrations in Germany, namely DE 20 2009 018 603 U1.

”We are proud of our product development and the benefits that our products and systems give our customers. Modul-System makes significant investments in the constant enhancement and development of our products. The protection of our intellectual assets is important and we take all infringements of our intellectual property rights seriously and will not hesitate to take legal action in cases where amicable solution of the matters are not timely reached” says Thomas Johansson Vice President of Modul-System.
